Emotional Academic Review Day 22nd April 2010

During the last year we have successfully launched the Vertical Tutor Group system, and a further development of this is the introduction of an Emotional and Academic Review Day.
On this day there will be an opportunity for parents to come into school with their child and to have a focused discussion with their child’s tutor about all aspects of progress including:- academic progress, motivation levels, well being, involvement in school and study habits: there will also be an opportunity to set personal and learning targets.
The tutor, with the support of the LEAD in the house, is the key to the academic success and effective mentoring of each individual student in our school.
We look forward to welcoming all parents on this day.

MFL Primary Language Workshops

Friday, 29th January was the latest Thematic Day at CYS. The theme of the day was ‘International School’, which suited us down to the ground in the MFL Department! It was decided that we would ask our students to plan and deliver a carousel of activities in French and Spanish with the aim of then visiting Caistor Primary School and Caistor Montessori School in the afternoon.

Would you like to join our Parent Panel?

We value the opportunity to involve parents in all aspect of our school. Whenever we consider new initiatives and ideas, we always work to consult with parents. This is done by letter, through the website and by giving information and feedback opportunities at open evenings and consultation evenings.
